Air Fryer Meatballs: Crispy on the Outside, Juicy on the Inside

These air fryer meatballs are packed with flavor and juicy on the inside, with a crispy exterior. Perfect for any night of the week, they can be served in various ways.


Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes




  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder




  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 pound ground turkey, chicken, or lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 300°F to keep meatballs warm between batches.
  2. In a large bowl, combine Parmesan, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add ground meat and egg. Mix until just combined, being careful not to compact the meat.
  4. Shape into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and arrange on the baking sheet.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Spray the basket with non-stick spray.
  6. Cook meatballs in batches, ensuring they don’t touch. Spray tops with non-stick spray.
  7. Air fry for 7-9 minutes, flipping halfway through. Meatballs are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  8. Keep cooked meatballs warm in the oven while you cook the remaining batches.
  9. Warm sauce and prepare other serving items.
  10. Serve meatballs hot with sauce, cheese, herbs, or other desired toppings.
